Double Diamond games is a small game company out of Grand Forks, North Dakota that was started by Mark Williamson in 2021. Currently, there is one game available, Too Many Cooks, produced through a third-party company. We hope to grow and eventually create and sell games directly out of the local area. For future projects, we have a wonderful jumble of games in the idea and prototype stages that with any luck, will eventually find life as real games. Origin

"I have a box filled with scrawled ideas, half-finished instructions, and hand-drawn game cards made from index cards. It is the box with all my game ideas. I have a file on my computer with a list of even more game ideas. While I've designed several prototypes of my games and played them with friends and family, they remained unreal, at best cardstock run through a printer. I decided to make one of those games a reality, taking it from pen and paper all the way to production of a finished game. It took a lot of time, effort, and stepping out into the unknown. My first game, Too Many Cooks, is not pristine, genius, or world changing. But it is real. More real than any other of my game ideas, however pristine, genius, or world changing they are in my head. It's the first game for my small game company I created, Double Diamond Games. My first game is an example for all my other game ideas that they too can one day be real. Double Diamond, the shape when my initials are placed one over the other. Double Diamond, the effort it takes to make something real. Double Diamond, the level of adventure I offer to my clients."
